The siding has been on for about 5 years now and i think it looks horrible. James hardie i have done many installs of hardiplank siding and haven t had a problem with the product. Nichiha in my opinion nichiha makes a better fiber cement. And of course it s collected mud bees every year.

And with the weathering over the years the siding has worn away with exposed holes. It was the in siding of its time. I supposed it was ok but in the directed sun it worn out faster. We went with nailite siding specifically the forest green roughsawn cedar.

Of course i was insulating the place and managed to damage about 5 6 of the external 90 degree corner pieces on one corner of the house. I had nailite siding installed years back now.
